Planning your trip is half the fun—here’s when Agistri feels like a dream come to life, whether you crave sun-drenched beaches or local festivals

• Weather: If you love sun-soaked days, aim for late May to early October. Summers here are warm and breezy, with temperatures around 30°C (perfect for beach bumming). Spring and autumn are quieter but still dreamy, with mild weather and fewer crowds.
• Big Celebrations: If you’re into local festivals, check out the Feast of Agios Panteleimonas in July—an authentic Greek celebration with dancing, food, and more ouzo than you can handle.
• Beach or Winter Season: Definitely a summer spot! The beaches are the star here, so plan for peak swim season from June to September.

• Day 3: We kept it simple—morning swims, sunbathing, and one last feast of grilled octopus before catching the ferry back. Agistri has this way of making you slow down, and honestly, we embraced it.

If you’re after peace and quiet, stay in Megalochori, a charming village with traditional vibes. For something unique, look up eco-lodges or family-run guesthouses.

Walking and biking are the best ways to get around

For longer distances, there’s a bus service connecting the main villages. You can also rent scooters for €15–20/day— but we recomend e-Bikes. No fancy passes—just hop on and off the local buses or ferries.
